TOWN HALL OF SHARED PROSPERITY VISION 2030

KUALA LUMPUR September 29 – Executive Committee Member of Malaysian Youth Council; Kavita Maheendran attended the recently concluded ‘Sesi Balai Rakyat Makmur Bersama KL 2030’ or Town Hall of Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 has shined light upon Malaysians by sharing 10 years plan. The town hall began with Minister of Education – YB Senator Dr Mohd Radzi’s address on Shared Prosperity Vision (SPV) 2030. The Minister has highlighted the key objectives which include restructuring economy, addressing inequalities and nation building as a whole. This well thought vision was designed to cater to benefit various groups of Malaysians. Each curated strategic thrusts was supported with proper statistics and current situation faced by Malaysians.

The event was then graced by the honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia – YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Hj. Muhyiddin Bin Hj. Mohd. Yassin’s key speech. The Prime Minister continued the session by highlighting his recently announced aid for everyone. Following that, he has given assurance that he is directly involved in this vision and is closely monitoring all sectors-agencies to be fully functional in delivering the targeted goals. The main aim is to ensure Malaysians will be positively impacted from this initiative.

In addition, SPV 2030 was created to develop country’s economy growth. Prime Minister then his speech saying, “nobody is left behind; prosperity is colour blind and it does not discriminate”.

The final part of the town hall had our PM to spontaneously answer few questions that is raised by selected guests. This was one of a session, as it isn’t every day Malaysians will have the opportunity to raise their concerns to PM themselves. The event was spearheaded by Institut Masa. Ministers from various Ministries were present to show solidarity.
