KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 2012 (Bernama) — The prime minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor received the 2012 National Sports Industry Eminent Person Award at the National Sports Industry Awards-presentation ceremony, here, Sunday night.
The award, which was introduced for the first time, was presented to Rosmah by Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) president Mohamed Maliki Mohamed Rapiee and witnessed by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek during the dinner function at Kuala Lumpur Tower, here.
Rosmah, who is also patron of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and the National Athletes Welfare Foundation (Yakeb), also officiated at the function.
In her speech, Rosmah said youths needed to see their involvement in the sports industry as an opportunity to boost their economy and that of their family.
