We, in the capacity of youth institution of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation; and Member Institutions of ICYF; and national, regional and International level Institutions active in the field of Youth.
Recalling the UN Security Council’s Resolution No. 2334 on the consideration of the Israeli settlements as illegal and as an assault on the right of Palestinians to their land, and the resolution included under ES 3/10 of 15/7/1999, emanating from the 10th Emergency Extraordinary Session of the UN General Assembly, relating to the unlawful practices of the Israeli Occupation in the Palestinian occupied territory,
Reiterating the resolutions adopted by the United Nations on Palestine and Al Quds, in particular the Security Council Resolution 478, adopted in 1980, Lauding the resolutions of the Emergency Arab Summit in Cairo, in October 2000 to set up a mechanism for supporting the Palestinian people, to preserve the identity of Al-Quds and to enhance the capabilities of the Palestinian economy,
Also lauding the resolutions of the Algerian Summit in 2005, the Khartoum Summit in 2006 and the Riyadh Summit in 2007 on expanding the resource bases of Al-Quds Fund and Al-Aqsa Fund and, inviting the OIC Member States to join the Funds,
Reaffirming all the resolutions adopted by the 14th Islamic Summit Conference, on May 31st, 2019, hosted by Saudi Arabia and held in Makkah Al-Mukarramah as well as the 7th Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Summit Conference held on May 18th, 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey,
Emphasizing the centrality of defending the Cause of Palestine and Al Quds for the whole humanity, which constitutes the main motive for founding the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,
Reaffirming once again the vital importance of preserving the sanctity and historical status of Al Quds and Haram al-Sharif for the whole Muslim Ummah,
Asserting our commitment to the Charters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and of the United Nations and to the principles of international law,
Referring to the resolutions adopted by the Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on Palestine and Al Quds,
Holds Israel, the occupying Power, responsible for the consequences of its illegal practices aimed at changing the legal status of the city of Al-Quds, its demographic composition, and its Islamic character,
Saluting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people as well as their just and valiant struggle to realize their legitimate national aspirations and inalienable rights to self-determination.
The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum hereby declares:
- Reiterates its unconditional support and solidarity to the Palestinian people.
- Condemning vehemently the continuous attacks staged by the Israel security forces on Palestinian worshippers within the premises of the Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Al Quds and also in Gaza District of Palestine which killed dozens of innocent people, including children, and wounded around thousands of them.
- Opposing the illegal settlement activities, expropriations, demolitions and use of excessive force by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.
- Expressing concerns for the young people settling in the region and for those displaced and separated from their families.
- Invites all members states of OIC the international community to remain committed to the status of Al Quds and all related UN Resolutions.
- Calls upon member states to condemn in strongest possible terms the continuous aggression of the Israeli occupying forces and its illegal policies of settlement on the Palestinian territory.
- Propose member states to create and fund a “special youth package” dedicated at empowering the Palestinian youth, who were wounded or affected by the illegitimate actions of the occupying power.
- Denounces the unlawful arrests of Palestinian citizens and minors which are the part of a collective punishment policy adopted by the Israeli occupational authorities.
- Affirms the rejection of all forms of measures manifested by the Israeli occupation in terms of demolishing Palestinians’ homes and vital structures, resulting in the displacement of a great number of Palestinians to build more illegal and colonial settlements at the expense of the Palestinian territories and properties.
