VLADIVOSTOK 6th Sep – The 10th Eastern Economic Forum has opened its doors in Vladivostok from 2nd – 6th September 2025 by the inaugural speech of President Vladimir Putin. This year, it had the presence of Prime Minister Laos and Prime Minister Mongolia. It has been a decade of building bridges between Russia and the Asia-Pacific!
Malaysian Youth Council was represented by Vice-President Dhanesh Basil. He had the opportunity to speak on behalf of MBM at the opening session of Dialogue of Young Diplomats of the Asia-Pacific Countries : International Youth Collaboration. He touched on the collaboration efforts that the regions have been working on and the initiative that can be tapped upon.
He also spoke alongside with Deputy Minister of Education Russia – HE Olga Petrovak, representative Ministry of Foreign Affairs Russia and representative from China on the topic Russia–ASEAN Dialogue Partnership: Opportunities for the Professional Development of Young High-End Talent. He touched on preservation of language and heritage that both region has and how it could bring ASEAN and Russia closer. Also being the connecting region to the East and West.
