Putrajaya, 8 August 2016 -The ASEAN Day celebration was held in Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning. The ceremony officiated by The Honourable Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican bin Naina Merican,Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and attended by Mr Ahmad Saparudin Yusup, Secretary General of Malaysian Youth Council together with 30 youths from MYC. The ceremony also attended by ambassadors in Malaysia, ministries representatives, NGO representative and students.
The gathering resembles the colours of ASEAN living in peace, stability and prosperity, bonded together in partnership in dynamic development and in a community of caring societies towards the ASEAN Community.
Youth are the main population within the region and the key player in all aspects especially in youth work or youth development in achieving the ASEAN Community and ASEAN Vision 2020.
