Majlis Belia Malaysia (MBM) menyambut baik perjanjian gencatan senjata yang termeterai antara HAMAS dan Israel bagi meredakan ketegangan yang berlaku sepanjang lebih 400 hari di sekitar Gaza.
MBM berpandangan usaha-usaha pembangunan semula Gaza harus segera digerakkan dengan sokongan masyarakat antarabangsa. Ini termasuklah usaha-usaha bagi menggerakkan bantuan-bantuan kemanusiaan kepada seluruh penduduk Gaza yang terjejas akibat serangan berterusan oleh Israel.
Dalam perkembangan berkaitan, MBM mencadangkan PBB mempertimbangkan untuk menghantar pasukan pengaman bagi memastikan perjanjian gencatan senjata dipatuhi. Ini bagi memastikan Israel tidak melakukan sebarang tindak-tanduk yang boleh mencabuli perjanjian yang telah dipersetujui.
MBM merakamkan setinggi tahniah atas peranan berterusan Perdana Menteri, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim yang menggunakan segala wahana diplomasi antarabangsa bagi memastikan konflik di Gaza dapat diredakan.
Penghargaan juga dipanjangkan kepada peranan signifikan yang dimainkan Qatar dan Mesir bagi menjayakan usaha gencatan senjata ini.
MBM memperteguhkan sokongan dan solidariti berterusan kepada perjuangan kemerdekaan Palestin atas prinsip keadilan dan lunas hukum antarabangsa.

MBM HOPES FOR CONTINOUS PEACE IN GAZA
The Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) warmly welcomes the ceasefire agreement reached between Hamas and Israel, which seeks to de-escalate the tensions that have persisted for over 400 days in Gaza.
MBM firmly believes that the reconstruction of Gaza must be prioritized and swiftly initiated, with robust support from the international community. This includes the urgent mobilization of humanitarian aid to assist the civilian population of Gaza, who have borne the brunt of relentless and indiscriminate hostilities of Israeli.
In light of these developments, MBM respectfully urges the United Nations to consider the deployment of peacekeeping forces to ensure the full and sincere implementation of the ceasefire agreement. Such a measure would serve to prevent any unilateral actions by Israel that might undermine the terms of the agreement.
MBM extends its sincere congratulations to YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his exemplary leadership and tireless diplomatic efforts in engaging the international community to bring about a de-escalation of the Gaza conflict.
We also express our profound appreciation for the pivotal roles played by Qatar and Egypt in facilitating and securing this crucial ceasefire.
MBM reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause and continues to lend its unwavering support to the Palestinian people’s struggle for justice, independence, and the full realization of their rights under international law.
