Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) delegation participated in the 2025 Youth Fest, held from 24 to 26 March in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Themed “New Generation: Adapt, Connect, and Share,” the event gathered youth leaders from various countries to foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
As part of the programme, Malaysian Youth Council (MYC) delegates took part in the International Youth Connect Forum, focusing on “Digital Transformation and International Integration.” During the forum, Ms. Ng Chor Eng Jessy delivered a presentation on “The Role of Youth in Empowering Digital Transformation,” highlighting Malaysia’s initiatives in integrating digitalisation into youth development.
Also participating is Brother Dhanesh Basil, Vice President, in the Youth Fest Forum 2025.
In addition, MYC delegates attended an appreciation dinner with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Standing Committee, engaging in discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation in youth development. The delegation also held an exclusive meeting with Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, to explore potential collaborations and extend an invitation to Malaysia’s National Youth Day celebration in June.
The closing ceremony of the festival featured the prestigious 23rd Ho Hao Hon Award Ceremony, recognising outstanding youth initiatives. The Malaysian delegation witnessed the vibrant and inclusive nature of Vietnam’s youth engagement, reflecting the spirit of regional cooperation and shared aspirations for a progressive future.
The MYC remains committed to fostering international youth partnerships and will continue advocating for meaningful engagements that empower young leaders on the global stage.
